Job Description
- The Plastic Injection Engineer is responsible for optimizing and managing the plastic injection molding processes to ensure the production of high-quality plastic parts with maximum efficiency. This role includes managing machines, setting parameters, maintaining molds, and analyzing and improving production processes.
- Set up and configure injection molding machines, adjusting parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time based on the material and product requirements.
- Ensure machines are running smoothly to prevent downtime and achieve consistent product quality.
- Design and maintain molds used in the injection process to ensure precise and compliant products.
- Regularly monitor mold condition and perform necessary maintenance to prevent production delays.
- Continuously analyze production processes to identify opportunities for optimization and reduce material wastage.
- Collaborate with technical and production teams to implement improvements that enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specified standards.
- Address any quality issues, providing solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Address any issues or breakdowns during the production process promptly and efficiently.
- Investigate root causes of issues and implement corrective measures to avoid future occurrences.
- Train technicians and operators on proper machine operation and safety practices.
- Supervise the production team, ensuring adherence to best practices in injection molding.
- Ensure all operations comply with workplace safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Monitor and promote safe and sustainable practices throughout the production process.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in plastic injection
- In-depth knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and technologies.
- Proficient in using injection molding machines and interpreting technical drawings.
- Strong analytical skills for performance improvement and quality assurance.
