Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Emergency Room (ER) Specialist to lead and manage the operations of a well-equipped, smaller-scale ER at our medical center. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the department, ensuring that the highest standards of patient care are met. This position involves providing clinical leadership to a team of General Practitioners (GPs) while remaining available for consultations and decision-making as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the Emergency Room, ensuring the delivery of prompt, high-quality medical care.
- Provide guidance and expert clinical support to ER teams, helping them navigate complex cases.
- Be available for consultation and decision-making support on urgent cases, offering expertise when required at any time, to ensure timely and accurate patient management.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for patients presenting with acute or life-threatening conditions.
- Facilitate coordination between the ER and other departments within the medical center, ensuring smooth transitions and holistic patient care.
- Oversee emergency medical procedures, including resuscitations, trauma care, and stabilization of critically ill patients.
- Monitor the availability and functionality of emergency medical equipment and supplies, maintaining optimal readiness at all times.
- Lead efforts to enhance patient flow, reduce waiting times, and optimize the efficiency of ER operations.
- Ensure thorough and accurate documentation of patient care and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Promote continuous learning and development among team members through mentorship, case reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Actively participate in ER department meetings and contribute to ongoing improvements in clinical practice and workflow.
Job Requirements
- MD - MBBS or equivalent, with board specialization in Emergency Medicine.
- Valid license to practice in Saudi Arabia (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an ER setting, with strong leadership capabilities.
- Exceptional clinical decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure, fast-paced situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering collaboration and teamwork among colleagues.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered care while maintaining efficiency and a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
