Job Description

The Finance Director is responsible for all financial and accounting activities within the company and will help the company grow its annual turnover from 100 Million EGP to 1 Billion EGP.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Director with superior financial control and analysis skills, demonstrated legal compliance competency, people management skills and relationship building capabilities. We offer a competitive package, fast-track growth potential and a unique company culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Derive and implement the company’s finance and accounting strategy and translating this across the functions, projects and business units
  • Oversee and capital management processes including the budgetary processes for all departments
  • Produce accurate and timely financial, regulatory and management reports in line with company and legal requirements
  • Ensure business complies with applicable regulations, tender and contractual requirements
  • Define requirements for accounting and financial reporting infrastructure and lead review and selection process of new systems as necessary
  • Create and maintain systems, standards, procedures and internal controls to meet the company’s finance and accounting objectives
  • Ensure monitoring and awareness of key company and team financial metrics and progress based on sound financial analysis
  • Advise the management team regularly on business and finance related current and potential issues
  • Create & maintain a forecast model of revenues and costs for functions, projects and business units
  • Oversee operational transactions through the project lifecycle including developing and negotiating offers, closing projects, finalizing contracts with clients, suppliers, government entities and financiers
  • Manage strategic planning, investment portfolios and cash management
  • Overall supervision of payroll, purchasing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting functions of the finance and accounting department
  • Responsible for the recruitment, supervision, training, and evaluation of the finance and accounting department staff including the warehousing department
  • In collaboration with department heads, increase the company's effectiveness by managing the performance appraisal and compensation program
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders including clients, employees, board, investors, suppliers, banks, auditors, industry peers to identify possible opportunities to drive business growth
  • Handle the annual tax filing and processing process
  • Maintain current knowledge of the ECS Energy marketplace (clients, competitors, regulations, technologies, etc)
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (Chartered Accountant, CPA, CFA desired professional qualification)
  • A minimum of 10 years of financial and accounting management experience with an excellent track record of achievement in high growth contracting companies
  • Proactive with evidence of having worked as a true partner with management teams
  • Prior exposure to managing internal reporting, capital management, cash management and implementing a robust MIS throughout the organization
  • Experience in leading the annual budgeting process and evaluating future fund requirements alongside organizing cost effective financing
  • Strong experience of ensuring appropriate statutory compliance and ensuring the entire finance function has a high level of corporate/ stakeholder integrity
  • Experience with accounting, compensation structures, pricing, sales modelling
  • Experience taking a company through fast growth phases and rapidly building teams
  • Financial modelling, valuation, financial analysis and deal structure experience
  • Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills marked by ability to motivate and grow a high-performing team
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the company
  • Knowledge of the Electro Mechanical contracting and energy local market environment & trends, government policy and regulatory requirements
  • Superior interpersonal and relationship building skills across organizational levels and across cultures
  • Superior communication skills (including oral, writing and presentation skills)
  • Track record of punctuality and reliability
  • Superior problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Arabic and English languages proficiency
