Job Description
The Junior Architect is responsible for supporting the architectural design and documentation of projects under the guidance of senior staff. Based in our Alexandria, Egypt office, the candidate will contribute to high-end projects located in Dubai, UAE. This includes assisting in concept development, preparing architectural drawings, ensuring compliance with applicable UAE codes and regulations, and coordinating with other disciplines. The role offers valuable exposure to international design standards and the opportunity to grow within a multidisciplinary environment.
Design Development:
- Assist in developing architectural concepts and schematic designs for high-end residential and commercial projects in Dubai.
- Prepare presentation materials including drawings, 3D models, renderings, and mood boards using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Translate conceptual ideas into detailed design documentation aligned with the design vision.
Technical Documentation:
- Produce architectural drawings and construction documents according to UAE project standards.
- Support the preparation of specifications, material selections, and schedules based on Dubai project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Dubai building codes, regulations, and authority requirements (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA).
Coordination:
- Collaborate remotely with Dubai-based consultants and on-site teams to ensure integrated and coordinated design outcomes.
- Participate in virtual coordination meetings with structural, MEP, and interior design teams.
- Respond to technical feedback and make revisions based on multidisciplinary input.
Project Support:
- Support the senior architect and project team in meeting project timelines and deliverables.
- Assist with technical documentation, BOQ preparation, and construction drawings for authority submissions in Dubai.
- Monitor project progress and incorporate client and consultant feedback into design updates.
