Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Account Receivable Accountant to manage and maintain our accounts receivable ledger for our Alexandria branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, processing payments, and maintaining strong relationships with our customers. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our Alexandria operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts receivable process for the Alexandria branch, including generating and sending invoices accurately and promptly.
- Record and allocate payments from customers.
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up as necessary to ensure timely collection.
- Reconcile accounts receivable balances on a regular basis.
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding their accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth order processing and payment collection.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts receivable transactions.
- Utilize SAP system for managing accounts receivable functions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum of 2-3 years) as an Account Receivable Accountant, preferably within the food industry.
- Must be a resident of Alexandria.
- Proficiency in using SAP is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
