Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing general ledger reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and company policies.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the full accounting cycle including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and monthly financial reporting.
• Manage and handle accounts payable/ receivable by processing supplier invoices, vendor/customer reconciling statements, and ensuring timely payments
• Record daily financial transactions
• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local laws and deadlines
• Perform bank reconciliations in a timely manner
• Handle and assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Generate standard financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS) and applicable tax regulations, comply with financial policies
• Maintain proper documentation for all accounting records
• Assist with internal/external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, preparing necessary documentation
Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-7 years of experience in a similar role
• Residence in Damanhour
• completing military service or be exempt (for males)
• Familiarity with data base and proficiency with Microsoft 365
• Familiarity with local tax laws
• Proficiency with cost accounting is an advantage
* proficiency in English language
* Familiarity with AI technologies is preferred
