Job Description
Providing advice and guidance to the organization to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees while complying with laws and ensuring that the company's products do not cause any harm to human life or the environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare the annual plan for inspection, review, field drills, and training plan on site and submit it to the Head of Health & Safety for approval.
- Support employees in identifying environmental risks and aspects and mitigating their impacts.
- Forecast and monitor annual budget consumption of expenditure (CAPEX) and expenditure (OPEX).
- Analyze all accidents and injuries, identify the root causes, and develop the necessary additional control measures.
- Maintain and manage equipment and processes related to each element of the emergency response plan and ensure their effectiveness.
- Suggest several preventive methods related to environmental issues and practices such as recycling, waste disposal, pollution control, etc. Develop processes, methods, and programs for risk monitoring.
- Recommend solutions and take action for issues that need improvement.
- Monitor the implementation of safety plans in accordance with plans and objectives.
- Maintain and manage equipment and processes related to each element of the emergency response plan and ensure their effectiveness.
- Suggest several preventive methods related to environmental issues and practices such as recycling, waste disposal, pollution control, etc.
- Work in accordance with ISO 45001/14001 standards and practices.
- Evaluating all reported unsafe behaviors and conditions and corrective actions taken.
- Preparing daily reports and discussing all critical issues in DOM.
- Forecasting and monitoring the consumption of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintenance of emergency response equipment.
- Ensuring the quality of spare parts provided by suppliers.
Job Requirements
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Occupational Safety and Health).
- From 8 to10 years of experience as a Head of Occupational Safety and Health Department.
- International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH).
- Hazardous Materials (Hazmat).
- OSHA certified.
- Good knowledge of NASP, ISO 45001 + ISO 14001 (OHSMS + EMS)
- Very good command of English
