Job Description

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Database Research:

  • Undertake tele-research and internet research to ensure targets on quantity and quality are achieved.
  • Gather and build potential clients database via tele-research and input them on the system ensuring the pre-determined quality and quantity of data are met.
  • Ensure all requests for data are carried out in a timely and accurate manner using the internal systems efficiently and effectively.
  •  Work closely with the business development and marketing departments to ensure that new data requirements for use in future event are planned in advance.
  • Conduct regular gap analysis and database audits to ensure that relevant information is being captured.
  • Continually monitor the data to ensure it is current, clean and complete by conducting cleaning projects on a regular basis.
  • Ensure that Informa Egypt conforms to Informa Group practice and procedures in terms of data protection and business ethics.
  • Produce and maintain database reports as and when required by Informa Egypt colleagues.
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility.

Business Development:

  • Undertake desk research to find contact details of relevant clients, associations and chambers of commerce locally and throughout the region.
  • Work with the Business Development Manager to research and establish relation with various trade associations and chambers of commerce in different African countries.
  • Assist in the recruitment of hosted buyers, maintain an updated log of all applications and share relevant information with stakeholders.
  • Assist in all the administrative work related to the recruitment and arrangement of hosted buyers.
  • Undertake any other tasks as requested by the Business Development Manager

  • Be able to work alone and under pressure.

  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format.
  • Remains calm and approachable under pressure.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of the exhibitions industry.
  • Database training qualification
  • Effective negotiation and persuasion skills

Education:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a market research, tele-research, customer service or business development role.
  • Previous experience in critical deadlines and targets environment.
