Job Description
We’re looking for a passionate and strategic Business Development Specialist with a strong background in B2B sales, partnerships, ideally in the XR (VR/MR/AR), tech, or edtech sectors.
- The Business Development Specialist will be assigned a focus region of Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
- The BDS will be responsible for generating leads
- Booking qualified meetings
- Helping convert prospects into signed clients
- Identifying growth opportunities.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build and manage strong relationships with clients across key sectors.
- Act as a strategic advisor, aligning XR solutions with client goals.
Market Research & Opportunity Development
- Analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities in MENA and beyond.
- Target high-potential areas in enterprise training and digital transformation.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement industry-specific go-to-market strategies.
- Lead full sales cycle, including deal structuring and negotiations.
Partnership & Channel Development
- Grow and manage partner networks (resellers, institutes, integrators).
- Equip partners with tools and support for success.
Trade Marketing & Brand Representation
- Drive brand visibility through events, demos, and webinars.
- Represent Merse at key industry conferences and exhibitions.
Pipeline Management & Reporting
- Maintain CRM records and report on sales performance and forecasts.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure market-fit solutions.
- Provide insights to guide product development.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably in XR, tech or digital industries.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Notion-based systems.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) for effective client communication.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in XR (VR/AR/MR), SaaS, digital training, or simulation solutions.
- Previous work with B2B enterprise clients, especially in the MENA region.
- Familiarity with solution-based selling and consultative sales techniques.
- Understanding of immersive technologies and their business applications.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a startup or fast-growing environment.
