Job Description

Position Overview
As a key member of the CPS Global Transportation & Logistics team, The Global Ocean Logistics Manager define and implement the Global carrier network, and manage the global relationship of with key shipping lines. Develop the logistics procurement & optimization projects to fully optimize our logistics network in terms of cost, service level, and carrier footprint.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Market Intelligence, Benchmarking, and be the subject Matter Expert of Ocean transportation within the system.
  • Define the Ocean freight strategy between Shipping Lines and freight forwarders, and set up an optimized Global network for the CPS Plants.
  • Lead regional and global sourcing initiatives using 7-step sourcing process (7SSP) to meet business requirements and maximize value to participants.
  • Manage Global Key Carrier Account to improve service level, maximize cost reductions and build robust working relationships with business partners.
  • Develop Agile initiatives to sourcing and optimization projects while using analytics and processes to determine scenarios, benefits, risks and change management impact of each of those options.
  • Negotiate and implement global or regional master agreements that result in preferential pricing, terms and conditions for the Coca-Cola system.
  • Collaborate with stakeholder groups to ensure implementation of sourcing initiatives to realize procurement value.
  • Drive Ocean and Air transportation Governance and ensure compliance in terms of Maritime Legislation (SOLAS, IMO, IATA FIATA)
  • Provide strong strategic and tactical support to the 19 CPS Plants and work in collaboration with the Planning and Logistics managers to execute strategy and deliver cost reductions and expected service level.

Job Requirements

Education Requirements & Related Work Experience:

Bsc or Master in Transportation Management

Bsc or Master in Maritime Management is preferred with at least 10 years related work experience.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Working as a Global Team: Ability to work as part of a virtual global team to collaborate across geographic and organizational boundaries to deliver better business results and share best practices across a global System.
  • Procurement Knowledge: Knowledge of procurement processes and applications to diverse categories to deliver value for the business. Includes the ability to use financial models, industry knowledge, and the client's business requirements to develop and implement optimized business solutions.   • Data and Analytics: Ability to use data and apply robust analytics to model various business scenarios and analyze resulting cost, impact, risks, and benefits to inform and recommend business solutions.
  • Competitive Analysis: Knowledge of sources for competitive analysis including supplier and industry data to build competitive intelligence, inform business planning and optimize decision-making.
  • Contracts and Agreements: Ability to read, edit and interpret contractual documentation. Knowledge of contract terms, applications and legal requirements, including the ability to manage performance to contracts and agreements. Ability to explain requirements contained in agreements.
  • Communication: Continuous communication with the CPS plants, and with Carriers/3PLs (Senior Management) to ensure the execution of Transportation strategies, improve performance, and build strong relationships in support of the business goals and requirements.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration with CPS Plants and CEPG procurement partner.
