Job Description
- Executes end to end intermodal process and ensure quality output whilst meeting customer needs
- Responsible for standardizing operations processes and preparing for/implementing processes and policies, working in close relationship with internal leaders within the company
- Collaboration with external service providers to troubleshoot and ensure the smooth flow of cargo
- Build strong working relationship with trucking suppliers, on-dock and off-dock terminal operators to achieve efficient operation
- Work closely with operations team, and customer service to ensure quality service provided to customers
- Drive cost saving in daily work and identify continuous improvement possibility
- Provide analytical assessment of day to-day issues; as well as strategic opportunities for improvement with customer
- Develop allocation plans to optimize constrained availability against prioritized demands
- Drive resolution of weekly exceptions to ensure rapid decision making and timely execution
- Provide analysis and recommendations which create cost and efficiency savings
- Generate weekly reports demonstrating visibility to Intermodal containers and KPIs
- Perform other job related duties as required
Job Requirements
- Rich knowledge on Supply Chain Management and Ocean products(Local Qatar Knowledge preferred)
- Stakeholder management skills
- Data analysis skill and procurement negotiation skill
- Result-oriented with initiative and strong execution with efficiency;
- 3+ years’ local experience with drayage and port activity
- 3+ years’ experience of analytical skills combined with detailed practical business acumen
- Understanding and passion for achieving internal and external KPIs.
- Open and positive with strong communication skills
- Proven ability to identify improvement opportunities and perform business and cost analysis to make recommendations
- Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks without input/guidance from manager
- Result-oriented self-starter with initiative and strong execution drive
