Job Description
We are currently seeking a high caliber candidate with excellent personal skills.
- The successful candidate will be able to assist senior grain trader(s) on the daily trading activity, learn grain trading & be prepared to be a FULL GRAIN TRADER within 18-24 months depending on his/her progress and skills.
- The Assistant Grain Trader will be responsible for all the administrative work for the trading department, will and assist Senior Traders on daily tasks.
- Aggressively explore all aspects of grain trading by assisting and learning from Senior Traders, company training program inside and outside Egypt.
- Keep up to date with grain trends and market conditions, follow up futures market and issue daily supply and demand reports to his senior traders and the management.
- Working in collaboration with trading, trade execution and logistics teams and finance
- Acting as point of contact between trading department and other trade supporting departments
- Problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Assisting Senior Trader(s) on their daily requirements
- Acting as point of contact between trading department and other trade supporting departments
- Within the course of first year, Assistant trader will be able to:
- Exploring, Screening and analyzing the local Grains market.
- Trading, monitoring trading execution and logistics
- Executing frequent visits and field trips to the clients across the country.
- Executing visits to global suppliers and related international events.
- Gathering local Grains market intelligence across the country.
- Maintaining a solid relationship with the clients and ensuring organic growth with each client.
- Maintaining a record of clients, legal documents and credit limits guarantees.
- Generate sales performance reports and clients’ performance reports.
- Liaise and communicate sales contracts with logistics, accounting and execution personnel.
- Devising and implementing commercial strategies in order to grow the business and increase the customer base.
- Ensuring the timely execution of contracts and deliveries to customers.
Job Requirements
- The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure, tight deadlines and work with a diverse group of people and build effective long-lasting work relationships, must be able to work independently, be detail oriented with excellent time management, and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated individual that enjoys working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear and concise communicator and take pride in your work by paying a high attention to details.
- Team player that leads by example and take ownership of his/her responsibilities and special projects to ensure key deadlines and objectives are consistently met.
- Effective problem-solving abilities that comes with personal skills and later through gained knowledge and developed experiences.
- Problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Degree in business, economics or related field.
- Fresh graduate.
- A fundamental understanding of the supply chain and logistics is a plus.
- Possess and demonstrated leadership ability, team management and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent knowledge of MS. excel, word and internet is required.
- Preferably new Cairo resident.
