Job Description
Supply planning is a key support to the different departments with a concentrated focus on inventory parameters and improve material availability. Supply Planner is responsible for the analysis and periodic reporting of the RDC’s inventory, with a sharp focus on ensuring optimum inventory levels w.r.t to service level. Supply Planner is the core responsible for obsolescence identification, reporting and management.
Manage supply planning of Samandıra RDC
- Analysis, reporting and maintenance of the RDC’s distributed goods inventories:
- Periodic running and validation of ABC/FMR/SS/RV/Offer etc, parameters
- Monitor stock levels and coverage
- Trigger cycle counting to ensure correctness of inventory
- Optimizing Inventories:
- Identify anomalies in inventory (too high/too low w.r.t FMC’s and SS levels) and inform the Procurement enabling prompt corrective action
- Ensuring that all stock refs are procured in a JIT manner w.r.t to lead times, procurement periods, etc.
- Supplier Delay Notifications
- Creation and Maintenance of Log for all Supplier Delay Info’s
- Informing Product Managers/Procurement/OPC of supplier delays
- Changing of LT / Lot Size / OPQ parameters (where applicable) w.r.t delayed items
- Inbound Flows analysis and optimization
- Ensuring accurate visibility of all inbound shipments
- Container Prioritization and reporting to warehouse/transportation
- Lost Lines analysis and launching of corrective actions:
- Weekly review of lost lines and launching of corrective actions (changing parameters, FMC’s, etc)
- Launching of small projects within RDC to improve lost lines ratio (w.r.t reception delays, inbound delays, transportation delays, etc…)
- Monthly Inventory Reports analysis and Logging:
- Creation of Log to maintain Gross Stock On Hand/DIN/UHS info in an easy to read format
- Monitor closely the level of obsolete stock
- Monthly Reporting and Analysis of obsolete stock by Activity and Ref. Level.
- Identification of critical items and creating awareness of the same within different levels of the organization (i.e. informing sales/marketing/product managers, etc…)
- Ensure the reduction of obsolete stocks by proposing actions to management (promotions, campaigns, substitution, etc…)
- Annual Scrapping analysis and execution
- Work in conjunction with marketing to generate the to-be-scrapped list
- Work with warehousing to locate, count and quarantine the to-be-scrapped items
- Inform Gulf Finance of the references, qty’s and value to-be-scrapped
- Oversee the execution of the scrapping exercise and maintain all relevant documentation regarding the same
- Ensure that all relevant parameters are changed in the ERP w.r.t to-be-scrapped refs.
Job Requirements
Background (degree, years of experience, professional qualification…etc)
- Ability to learn and understand new tools and concepts quickly
- Analytical and strong ability to work with numbers and forecast data
- Academic requirements preferably superior studies (Mathematics, IT, Business Administration., etc)
Experience in Logistics:
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in inventory planning / forecasting
- Professional know-how
Very good knowledge of :
- Inventory Planning Processes
- Measures and Metrics of Inventory Control
- Very Good Computer literacy, with focus on ERP (SAP) and some knowledge of WMS
Languages and PC skills:
- English – fluent required§ Good knowledge of MS Access / MS Excel
- Good knowledge of ERP systems especially MRP
- Good knowledge of Inventory Parameters
