Job Description
- Working closely with the Buyer and Merchandising team to ensure stock is agreed
- Work and update samples tracker to ensure all photo shoot samples are delivered on time by brands and returned to brands
- Create SKUS / ID number for all confirmed product
- Forward planning and trend forecasting new seasons to reach out to brands/designers
- Perform market analysis, competitors and monitor sales, proposing appropriate action – know customer preferences
- Work closely with the merchandising team to review department performance and develop areas for improvement – suggesting new brands
- Manage the critical path dates for buying, ensuring all deadlines are met on time and in line with the set company calendar
- Build and maintain close relationships with suppliers/brands
Job Requirements
- Previous experience as an Assistant Buyer or Buying Admin Assistant is preferred
- Experience in Women’s retail is preferable but not essential
- A strong fashion eye and awareness of current and upcoming trends
- Good problem-solving skills and can take initiative to make decisions and resolve issues
- The ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels
- Excellent time management skills and able to work to deadlines
