Job Description

  • Responsible for creating effective business plans for their office.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and business events.
  • Protects the office's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Analyzing the office's performance and recommending new solutions for better performance.
  • Develops and executes integrated programs that reinforce the business development and marketing priorities for the practice group.
  • Coordinates publication and distribution of practice group content through client alerts, blogs, and other social media channels, in coordination with the firm’s Communications and Digital Content teams.
  • Plans and executes seminar/event/webinar activities for the practice group nationally.
  • Develops and executes integrated programs that reinforce the business development and marketing priorities for the practice group.
  • Preparing research memos and background briefing books for partners concerning new business targets.
  • Responding to requests and inquiries from litigation attorneys regarding business development opportunities and initiatives.
  • Monitoring and reporting on news, cases, industry trends and issues impacting current and prospective clients.

Job Requirements

  • Must possess an undergraduate degree in marketing, communications or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of related marketing and business development experience including creating and preparing marketing collateral, proposals and presentations.
  • Excellent writing skills and proofreading skills are required.
  • Social media experience/proficiency in a professional environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work with all levels of the firm, practice group, office management and clients and to effectively contribute at a high level, influence outcomes and achieve strategic plan objectives.
  • Strong organizational, team building and communication skills are essential.
