About the Job


Amazon Middle East is looking for a Product Manager I to support the continuous improvement of customer and delivery experience in Egypt; with a focus on delivery speed/preferences, convenience and reducing fulfillment defects.
How many ship options should we offer? How fast should each be? What is the right fee for Premium/expedited ship options? How do our offers match up against competitors? Do different customer segments have different preferences? What differences should there be in delivery experience for remote areas vs. urban ones? How do we reduce fulfillment defects? How do we improve First Day Delivery Success? These are just some of the questions for this product manager to tackle. In this role you will define features and processes, drive projects end-to-end, collaborate with technical teams to implement solutions, and deeply analyze the results. You'll drive frequent experiments where there's an opportunity to learn but proceed cautiously when decisions have big implications and would be hard to change. With stakeholders across the company across retail, technology, and operations, you'll have frequent opportunities to influence significant decisions.

The scope for this role includes:

  • Ownership of customer and delivery experience and measures of success; which includes on-time delivery success, deliveries per order, order fulfillment rate and Delivery CSAT scores.
  • Build Egypt focused location based shopping, Delivery experience and related products and features.
  • Work closely with designers and engineers to drive feature definition and implementation.
  • Understand and manage financial levers, such as shipping revenue, shipping costs, and contribution profit.
  • Build collaborative relationships with leadership in Retail, Regional Product/Tech, Marketplace, and Operations.
  • Lead, plan, and conduct periodic business reviews with Egypt and Regional executive leadership.
  • Responsible for the leadership and oversight of projects that impact Egypt customer experience.

In this role you will own:

  • Delivery experience metrics which include on-time delivery success, deliveries per order and Delivery CSAT
  • Reduction in Order fulfillment defects and
  • Defining the Prime and Non-Prime Delivery Experience in Egypt
  • Egypt ship prices for non-Prime customers and, in collaboration with the Prime team, the evolution of the Prime delivery benefits
  • Development of the Same-Day and Next-Day program in the Egypt
  • Definition and launch of convenience programs like scheduled delivery
Job Requirements


  • 2+ years product management and/or business leadership experience, preferably with an online focus
  • Customer and Operations experience
  • MBA or advanced degree in engineering, supply chain management, mathematics, computer science or related areas
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate and build consensus with various internal and external groups and senior leaders.
  • Data-driven decision making and strong quantitative analysis skills
  • Data extraction and handling skills


  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sophisticated projects and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Proven track record of delivering results in large, cross-functional initiatives
  • Thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment where tactical and strategic initiatives are driven in parallel
  • Retail and Operations experience
