Job Description
- Monitors safety and health performance and recommends actions for improvement.
- Investigates causes of accidents, incidents, injuries and illness resulting from industrial incidents and initiates corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
- Develop all required procedures and documentation needs for OHSAS 1400, 18001, PI standards and multi certification audit.
- Ensure the governmental legislation is being followed
- Assures compliance with organization and government health and safety standards.
- Conduct comprehensive on-site safety assessments as part of constant monitoring process
- Monitor the contractor’s security arrangements
- Provide regular written reports, as well as other program related KPIs, statistics and updates to management
- Collaborates with employees and supervisors to identify and correct potential safety and health hazards.
- Drive the change for the improvement of the safety awareness & culture among plant employees at all levels.
- Monitor annual site EHS objective(s) plan implementation and plant performance improvements.
- Organize & lead safety motivation events in the plant.
- Develop and lead communication of all SWPs (Safe Work Practices) for all jobs in the plant and Educates workers to dangers existing at the site through "safety-first" campaigns.
- Proposes safety measures and enablers to prevent accidents, which may arise from various stages of production.
- Assist all heath safety and security meetings and keep record and report on site incidents
- Develops safe standard work practices with line personnel and monitors conformance through safety and housekeeping inspections.
- Ensure timely and through inspection of plant fire protection & prevention systems.
- Ensure safety-training programs are attended and completed for all employees in the site and Evaluates training results through monitoring trainees’ safety performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree of Science / Engineering
- 4+ years of Experience in the same field
- OSHA General certificate
- Fire Fighting Certificate
- First Aid certificate
- Good leadership skills that enables the coordination of safety programs at departments and managers levels
- Good Communication skills &persuasiveness skills.
- In-depth knowledge of safety principles, policies and KPI's (incidents, etc.)
- Excellent Microsoft office skills.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
