Job Description
Quality Engineer
A Quality Engineer in the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) field is responsible for ensuring that all manufactured products meet specified quality standards. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from planning and defining specifications to the final inspection of produced parts. A Quality Engineer works closely with production and design teams to ensure compliance with required standards and specifications, and they also analyze data, discover the root causes of problems, and propose solutions to improve processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Quality Standards: Establish quality plans, define technical specifications, and set acceptance criteria for CNC-manufactured products.
- Inspection and Testing: Perform inspections of in-process parts and final products using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production and quality data to identify trends, detect errors, and recommend process improvements to reduce defects.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with production, design, and maintenance teams to address quality issues and provide regular performance reports.
- Training: Train CNC technicians and operators on best practices for quality control, measurement, and inspection procedures.
Job Requirements
- 2-4 years of proven experience in quality control or quality assurance roles.
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures, standards, and methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools, measurement instruments, and relevant software.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Willingness to work on-site in an office-based arrangement.
