You will be developing and implementing new marketing strategies, coordinating internal teams, performing marketing research, reporting to senior management, identifying new business opportunities and maintaining client relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyse market reports to determine where to seek out new business and planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  • Establish contact with new business opportunities establishing rapport and setting up meetings.
  • Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products.
  • Create proposals for existing customers to better help them with their business, while utilising company products and services.
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations, sales displays and Developing quotes and proposals.
  • Maintain positive growth in your market area.
  • Work to convert losses into wins to the best of your ability. 
  • Get in front of potential problems in order to minimize potential loss. 
  • Travel to destinations to best facilitate business growth. 
  • Utilise senior staff for training and guidance.
  • Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets.
  • Researching the needs of other companies and who makes decisions about purchasing.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person

Internship Requirements

Business Development Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal capability. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise different projects and stay on schedule. 
  • An understanding of how to interpret P&L, Earnings, and Inventory reports.
  • A familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel domestically with occasional international travel.

Tools and Software Required

To accomplish their daily goals, Business Development interns will make use of the following tools:

  • using ERP system like ( Oracal or Microsoft and SAP)
  • Daily business software (Microsoft Office or  Mac,)
  • Strong research skills using all internet software
