Job Description
- Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
- Deliver HSE training programs and workshops to employees, contractors, and visitors to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
- Ensure all workplace activities comply with ISO 9001-2015 standards and other relevant certifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to integrate HSE best practices into daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance, including waste management, emissions, and resource usage.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors during inspections and compliance reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HSE performance and support organizational objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in an HSE engineering role within industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices (local and international).
- Proven experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deliver training and collaborate across teams.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, safety data sheets, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software.
- Experience working in an office-based environment with occasional site visits.
- Certification in ISO 9001-2015 compliance is an advantage.
