Job Description
- Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in alignment with local regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees, contractors, and stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive HSE documentation, including reports, audits, and compliance records.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams to integrate HSE requirements into project planning and execution.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and certifications are obtained and maintained.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide guidance on emergency preparedness and response procedures.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes relevant to HSE.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- 8 years of proven experience in HSE roles within engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local and international HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective training and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HSE management systems and procedures.
- Experience in preparing HSE reports, audits, and compliance documentation.
- Proficiency in using HSE management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
- Professional certifications in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
