Industry: AviationWork Model: On-siteLocation: RiyadhJob SummaryThe Low Current Technician is responsible for performing first-line low-voltage (LV) and cabling tasks, including installation, terminations, patching, and maintenance of structured cabling and low-current systems. This role ensures proper connectivity and reliability of ICT, security, and building management systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage (LV) systems, including structured cabling, voice, data, and security systems.Carry out cable pulling, routing, dressing, and securing, ensuring neat and professional installation standards.Execute terminations for copper and fiber optic cables, including connectors, patch panels, and outlets.Perform patching and cross-connection tasks to ensure proper system connectivity and functionality.Conduct system testing and verification using industry-standard tools and equipment to ensure performance compliance.Assist in the installation and support of low-current systems such as CCTV, access control, public address (PA), fire alarm, and data networks.Identify and resolve connectivity and cabling-related issues, escalating complex problems as required.Adhere to safety regulations, electrical codes, and industry standards during installation and maintenance activities.Maintain accurate records of cabling layouts, patching schedules, and termination points.Provide on-site support for infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and relocation projects.Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to ensure timely and quality delivery of low-current tasks.Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and cable management practices for long-term system reliability.Follow company and OEM guidelines for handling, installing, and maintaining certified cabling products.Participate in regular training to stay up to date with industry practices, tools, and low-current technologies.Job RequirementsDiploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related technical field (preferred).Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Low Current Technician or in a similar cabling/low-voltage role.Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards, copper and fiber terminations, and patching procedures.Hands-on experience with installation, termination, and testing of low-current systems.Ability to use industry-standard testing tools for copper and fiber verification.Familiarity with OEM cabling systems and adherence to manufacturer installation guidelines.Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work safely in technical environments.Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret technical drawings, cabling layouts, and patching diagrams.Capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, and under varying site conditions.Aviation experience is preferred.Required CertificationsBICSI Installer Level 1 or Level 2OEM Training CertificationsPreferred Certifications (a Plus)Fiber Optic Splicing CertificationFluke Cable Testing CertificationOSHA or equivalent Safety Training Certification
