Job Description
Job Purpose:We are seeking a proactive and experienced IT Support Officer to join our dynamic IT team.The IT Support Officer will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software to our employees. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting skills, a customer-oriented approach, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:Provide first-line technical support to end-users regarding hardware, software, network, and telecommunications issues.Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues promptly and effectively. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications according to company policies and procedures. Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or in-person, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service.Assist in the administration and maintenance of IT systems and networks, including backups, security measures, and system updates. Set up and configure new user accounts and profiles and assist with onboarding/offboarding procedures.Maintain documentation of IT support activities, configurations, and user manuals for reference purposes.Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to improve IT infrastructure and processes.Provide training and technical guidance to end-users as needed.Stay informed about advancements in technology and IT best practices.Job Requirements:Minimum of 1+ years with sector-specific experience.Proven experience working in a similar role.Spoken and written English is required.Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).Proven experience as an IT Support Officer or similar role.Excellent knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications (Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, etc.).Experience with IT support ticketing systems and remote support tools.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
