Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the mechanical maintenance and repair of heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, graders, asphalt pavers, and excavators.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other components.
- Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and prolong equipment life.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and repair support during operations to minimize disruption to projects.
- Supervise and train a team of technicians and maintenance personnel.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records for each piece of equipment.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of required parts and materials.
- Collaborate with project teams to schedule repairs and minimize delays in construction activities.
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in Roads Construction Equipment is a must
- 2 - 6 years of experience in the mechanical maintenance of heavy equipment, with a focus on road construction machinery.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems used in construction equipment.
- Hands-on experience with diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in heavy machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and MS Office Suite.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel between various project locations.
