Job Description
1. Review the approved master program for utilities works within the overall project schedule.
2. Participate in preparing the department’s budget in coordination with the relevant departments and obtain the sector manager’s approval.
3. Coordinate with engineering consultancy firms (design consultants) to ensure design quality and financial/technical deliverables, in coordination with contracts and procurement.
4. Manage contracts and agreements.
5. Review and approve initial designs and drawings.
6. Participate in technical review meetings with the project management consultants.
7. Review tender documents and coordinate with the project management consultants.
8. Coordinate with the New Urban Communities Authority for the approval of utilities networks.
9. Coordinate with governmental authorities to obtain the necessary permits, in coordination with the Government Relations Department.
10. Follow up on works execution and ensure compliance with the approved multi-disciplinary designs.
11. Participate in finding solutions to obstacles during execution in coordination with the technical support consultants.
12. Prepare periodic performance reports and present them to the sector manager.
13. Prepare technical studies and reports for submission to the Utilities Sector Director, the CEO, and the Board Member.
14. Review payment requests for utilities works and ensure they comply with the approved procedures within the financial authority limits.
15. Perform any other tasks assigned by the sector manager.
Job Requirements
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Mechanical) – Infrastructure major preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure and utilities works, including electromechanical works.
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Project Management Software proficiency.
Language:
• Very good command of English.
Training & Professional Certifications (Preferred):
• Contract Management courses.
• Project Management courses.
• MEP Engineering courses.
