Job Description
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics based on engineering and architectural specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to gather requirements and clarify design intent.
- Revise and update drawings to reflect changes in design, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
- Utilize CAD software and other drafting tools to produce high-quality, precise drawings.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct site visits or coordinate with field teams to verify measurements and gather additional data as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and quantity estimates from drawings.
- Support the engineering team in resolving design-related issues during project execution.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to design reviews and quality assurance processes.
Job Requirements
- 4-9 years of proven experience as a Draftsman in a relevant industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Experience working in a professional, permanent, or remote arrangement is a plus.
