Job Description
- Source quotations from qualified suppliers based on specifications provided by internal customers
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to obtain the best value for the organization
- Prepare comparison analyses to evaluate supplier quotations
- Issue purchase orders and manage related documentation through completion
- Maintain supplier databases and develop new supply sources as needed
- Monitor purchase request status and provide weekly updates to management
- Review market conditions, pricing trends, and material availability
- Assist with order acknowledgements, payment invoices, and supplier inquiries as needed
- Verify shipping information and ensure customs compliance for international shipments
- Contribute to department goals and implement quality management systems
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 2+ years of purchasing or supplier negotiation experience
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with ERP/SAP systems preferred
- Knowledge of customs regulations and international logistics a plus
- Attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work across departments to achieve objectives
