Senior Production Planning Engineer

Accountabilities:

• Participate in developing the function’s objectives, targets and action plan in compliance with the overall department and company’s strategy and objectives. In-coordination with production planning manager.
• Participate in setting the annual, strategic business plan through; identifying resources and investments needed to achieve and cover the intended plan;
• Receive the resources of the forecast, confirm the forecast with the production planning manager. Validate and activate it upon being uploaded on the SAP system.
• Run the monthly MPS- Master Production Schedule- on the SAP system upon setting and developing the yearly production plan; attach it to the Material Planning function and cascade it down to the Production team; assist in preparing master production planning monthly in collaboration with production planning management.; update the schedule at the beginning of each month and share it with the production team and material planning team.
• Review weekly production plan. Oversee the assembly process and prepare the Bill of Materials (BOM), Calculate Material needed for each category of Products in coordination with Materials Planner. And ensure that accurate and detailed information are included.
• Break down monthly plan to weekly plan and schedule it on the system; issue planned order in accordance (Output of schedule = planned order).
• Maintain safety stock level and fulfill production orders through activating every order with its specifications; and scheduling with the production planner (receive order and process it). Follow up consistently on the stock limit of materials to ensure the stock is sufficient for the monthly MPS.
• Set KPIs of Operation Plan; if Level of stock is within the limits or if there is any drop to be reviewed with production planning management and to develop action plan.
• Produce and communicate daily production planning and scheduling plans.
• Liaise daily with the Production Manager, Engineering and Supply Chain team on materials and machinery availability.
• Oversee all aspects of production planning and control and the implementation of associated control systems and processes.

Monitor the monthly OEE – Overall Equipment Effectiveness – review and check on the equipment breakdown to conduct risk calculation to then change stock level if required; increase to recover any risk to prevent any drop sales and to analyze if it affected the production plan; coordinate with the concerned departments regarding any plan updates.
