Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate & Commercial Law:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including supply, distribution, service, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Ensure all corporate activities comply with Egyptian legal requirements and internal policies.
- Prepare and manage corporate governance documentation (e.g., board resolutions, shareholder minutes).
Compliance & Regulatory:
- Monitor and implement changes in Egyptian laws and regulations that impact operations.
- Lead and support internal compliance initiatives (anti-corruption, competition, labor law).
- Liaise with regulatory authorities on licenses, inspections, and filings.
Contract & Risk Management:
- Evaluate legal risks in contracts and advise on risk mitigation.
- Support procurement, HR, operations, and project teams with timely legal input.
- Develop standard contract templates and negotiation playbooks.
Dispute Resolution & Litigation:
- Manage legal disputes and claims in collaboration with external counsel.
- Handle pre-litigation processes and settlements as needed.
Support for Transactions & IP:
- Assist in legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and business restructuring.
- Provide support on intellectual property matters such as trademarks and patent filings.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); LLM or Master’s in Commercial Law is a plus.
- Licensed to practice law in Egypt.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably with a multinational company or a leading law firm.
- Strong knowledge of Egyptian corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory law.
- Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, or electronics sectors is an advantage.
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
