Role Description
To manage and oversee all bank facilities and financial dealings with banking institutions, ensuring the availability of required financing for company operations and projects. This role is responsible for negotiating competitive banking terms and building strong, strategic relationships with banks.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate with banks to secure credit facilities (loans, letters of credit, letters of guarantee, etc.) under the most favourable terms.
- Monitor the utilization and limits of existing banking facilities and ensure alignment with company needs.
- Prepare and update detailed schedules of banking facilities, including maturity dates, interest rates, and payment plans.
- Provide regular reports to the Finance Department and senior management regarding the company’s banking position and obligations.
- Coordinate with other departments (such as Procurement and Projects) to ensure proper funding of operational and project requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with banking representatives to ensure continued financial support.
- Review banking agreements and contracts to ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Analyze banking risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Maintain and organize all banking documentation and records in a secure and efficient manner.
- Suggest and implement strategies to improve financing terms and reduce banking costs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CMA or CFA are preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in banking relations and facilities, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
