Job Description

Primary Responsibilities: - 

  • Communicates with the operations manager about his expectations and predictions for supply chain interruptions, shortages, or surpluses.
  •  Oversees and manages with the production manager every stage of the production flow, from purchasing the raw materials to the delivery of the final product. 
  • He will ensure the right amount of product is made at the right time, as well as coordinate the storage of the product.
  •  Oversee the day-to-day operations and make sure of the smooth running of work with the procurement section head and buyers to source the right products. 
  •  Negotiate contracts with suppliers and customers. control manufacturing and delivery processes.
  •  Manage and supervise the ERP implementation, Determine ERP needs, and provide ERP end-user training and technical support.
  •  Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met. - Oversee product storage, handling, and distribution. 

Other Responsibilities: - 

  • Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analyzing performance through KPIs.
  •  Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company; at sites, and in the factory.
  •  Maintains the required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production. - Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers
  •  manage and minimize the risks that could affect or interrupt the supply chain. - Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
  •  Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on the availability and cost of supplies and materials.
  •  Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
  •  Work with the logistics section head to identify optimal shipment and transportation routes.
  •  Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes. 

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; Mechanical engineering is preferable; automotive engineering is strongly preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in the Supply Chain (procurement, planning, logistics, and warehouse) of working in multinational industrial environments (automotive is preferable).
  • Experience working in and maintaining databases, good understanding in SQL, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and basic programming skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge with Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Dynamics AX. Power User experience is a must, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (ERP) certification is a plus.
  • CPIM or CSCP certified is strongly preferred.
  • Proven Experience in managing and improving all aspects of the supply chain, especially its data, information, and processes.
  • Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges and needs to be addressed Top-level understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven communication and negotiation skills. Knowledge of commercial or legal aspects of purchasing.
  • Superior project management and organizational skills, PMP is a plus
  • Excellent Spoken and written command of the English language.
