Oversee the daily operations of the CNC machine shop, ensuring that all work is completed on time, to specification, and within budget.
Manage a team of skilled machinists, providing guidance and support to ensure they can achieve their full potential.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
Develop and maintain production plans, coordinating with other departments to ensure that all necessary materials and resources are available when needed.
Monitor the quality of output, implementing corrective actions where necessary to maintain our high standards.
Ensure that all machinery and equipment are maintained in good working order, scheduling regular inspections and maintenance as required.
Uphold all health and safety regulations, creating a safe and positive work environment for all staff.
Liaise with clients and suppliers, building strong relationships and ensuring that all communications are handled in a professional and timely manner.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments, implementing new technologies and techniques where they can improve our operations.

A minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial role within a CNC machine shop.
Extensive knowledge of CNC machining and fabrication techniques.
Proven experience implementing lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and productivity.
Strong leadership skills, with a track record of motivating and developing a team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and staff at all levels.
A solid understanding of health and safety regulations within a machining environment.
Proficiency in using computer software for production planning and inventory management.
Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
