Job Description
Retail Project Management and Sales
- Lead the retail sales initiative for acoustic materials, managing the full project lifecycle, from selection and procurement to product launch and ongoing sales efforts.
- Oversee inventory planning, ensuring efficient stocking and replenishment for retail outlets.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies tailored to the retail environment to boost product visibility and drive sales.
Market Research and Opportunity Development
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential retail outlets, customer segments, and new opportunities in the acoustic materials industry.
- Develop strategic partnerships with retailers and distributors to expand market reach and secure optimal product placement.
- Monitor market trends, competitor actions, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and adjust retail strategies.
Client Relationship Management and Sales Execution
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail clients, distributors, and other stakeholders, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
- Present product features, benefits, and technical specifications to clients, providing solutions to meet their acoustic needs.
- Negotiate and close sales contracts, following up on leads to achieve revenue goals.
Financial Oversight and Collection Management
- Ensure timely collection of payments and manage credit terms with clients to maintain financial stability.
- Coordinate with the finance team to oversee billing, invoicing, and collection of outstanding receivables.
Additional Sales Engineering Support
- Support additional sales activities for acoustic projects, assisting with project design, quotations, and technical proposals as needed.
- Collaborate with the technical team on project-based installations and client solutions beyond the retail scope.
Job Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer
- Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions
- Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
- Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation and creativity skills
- Willingness to travel
- BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably with a numeracy base
