Job Description
Tern ice cream company is seeking a highly creative Marketing Specialist to join our team. This diverse role will be a key support in shaping our brand's visual identity, driving engaging marketing campaigns, and managing our social media presence across various channels focused on the US and Egyptian markets. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver, flexible with a diverse set of tasks in a startup environment and willing to ask questions and learn. The key area of focus will be content creation using skills in design, video editing, and digital marketing, possessing a strong blend of creative vision, technical proficiency, and strategic thinking.
Responsibilities:
- Visual Content Creation:
- Conceptualize, shoot, and edit high-quality photos and videos for marketing materials, including website content, social media, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
- Design visually appealing graphics, including social media posts, infographics, banners, digital ads, brochures, flyers, website banners, email templates, and other visual assets.
- Maintain brand consistency across all design and video assets.
- Maintain and organize a digital asset library of photos and videos.
- Social Media Management:
- Develop and manage social media strategies aligned with company goals, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Oversee content creation across platforms, ensuring high-quality and engaging visuals, videos, and text.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns, including paid ads, ensuring timely delivery.
- Track and analyze performance metrics, providing insights to optimize campaigns and improve ROI.
- Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Contribute to the development of content strategies that resonate with target audiences.
- Collaborate to develop creative concepts and execute them across multiple channels.
- Use Meta Business Suite and other tools to manage and optimize campaign performance across digital platforms.
- Analyze campaign data and insights, ensuring strategies are refined for maximum ROI.
- Ensure all marketing efforts reflect our brand identity, values, and long-term vision.
Job Requirements

- Fluent in English and Arabic, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present creative ideas effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- A strong portfolio showcasing design and video editing work (2 years of experience in a creative marketing role a plus)
- Knowledge of making food and deserts and enjoys ice cream a big plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices to execute successful social media campaigns.
- Proficiency in photo, video and design software (Inkscape, DaVinci Resolve (eg Adobe Creative Suite) or equivalent tools
- Experience working in startup or agency environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of SEO and content marketing principles is a plus.
- Creating and shooting reels is a plus.
