Job Description
the Managing Editor shall abide by the work responsibilities and tasks entrusted to him, including supervision and implementation of the following:
- Plan and manage all daily operations
- Hire, coach and supervise editors.
- Supervising the editors' work progress and assign tasks for editors.
- Oversee proofreading procedures and edit copy when necessary
- Resolve issues as they arise by customers.
- Managing web-based invoicing and receiving the payments online.
- Receiving and directing requests for editing long texts and following up on their completion.
- Analyze performance metrics by submitting a weekly report on work statistics and a monthly report on the editors' accomplishments.
- Assist the COO to implement best practices, workflows, tools and templates to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the proofreading process
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in English language.
- 5 years' experience in English language translation, editing or proofreading.
- Excellent in leadership and management skills.
- Excellent in reporting and computer skills.
- Excellent in communication skills.
- You have your own laptop.
