The Position
Contribute elevating the handwriting of the product globally by implementing manufacturing operations and align product category standards globally. Fill the gap between Product Technology and Quality Assurance share knowledge and best practice around construction and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Establish Brand DNA in manufacturing
• Assess and fine-tune factories across regions and product categories to meet brand DNA
• Share the brand specific manufacturing requirements and train the vendors on achieving those standards.
2. Global standardization of manufacturing operations
• Standardization of operations and safeguard excellence in products across all stages of development and production.
• Ensure specific products carry the same handwriting and same production method globally without any difference from region to region
3. Continuous improvement of methods and techniques
• Follow last technical developments in the industry to advise product departments and vendors to implement the latest technology in the product.
• Enhance product and process by sharing best practices among production units and regions
4. Lead vendor trainings to make sure that the factories are Production Ready
• Ensure clear understanding of tech pack, highlight key call outs and potential risks from production perspective and counteractions executed
• Ensure risk assessment call outs are addressed with vendors & follow through to resolution in coordination w/ Product Integrity, PD and QA
5. Drive fast issue resolutions for process flaws
• Use technical expertise to solve production method queries.
• Guide the product teams and vendors to mitigate risks during production
Job Requirements
• Degree in Textiles, Fashion, manufacturing or Supply Chain Management
• Minimum of 7- 10 years of experience in apparel sourcing / manufacturing environment
• Prior knowledge sourcing production processes, resolving production issues & engaging with vendors, divisions, sourcing teams to course correct as needed
• Capacity to build production line plans
• Experience of the end-to-end value process; ability to work with both product teams, sourcing teams and external vendors
