Job Description
- Responsible for procuring a company's supplies.
- Research and identify prospective suppliers.
- Evaluate the offering against key business criteria and the required product specifications.
- Negotiate purchase agreements.
- Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and prices.
- Select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries, services with suppliers.
- Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers.
- Monitor the performance of suppliers and products, arrange regular visits and meeting to ensure that they meet the required standards.
- Maintain up-to-date lists of suppliers and pricing to ensure that the company achieves the most beneficial commercial terms.
- Maintain an awareness of quantities of stocks of materials and equipment to ensure that shortages are avoided.
- Coordinate purchasing arrangements with different departments and functions to ensure that they are taking advantage of the most favorable terms with the required standards.
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as local purchasing specialist.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
