Job Description

Management:

  • Oversee the Purchasing, Warehousing, Planning, and Dispatch teams to achieve optimal supply chain performance.
  • Set clear objectives, manage performance, and develop team members to foster a high-performing culture.

Financial Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain budgets.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and take corrective action to ensure budget adherence.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and optimize supply chain processes, leveraging industry best practices.
  • Implement robust systems and controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan supply, and align supply chain strategies with business objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks.

Cost Management:

  • Negotiate favorable contracts with suppliers to optimize costs and ensure quality.
  • Implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth execution of supply chain activities.
  • Analyze inventory levels, optimize warehouse operations, and improve logistics efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage supply chain-related projects, ensuring timely and successful completion within budget and scope.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate accurate and timely reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform decision-making.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • Experience in Heavy industry is preferred 
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., ERP systems, supply chain planning tools).
