Material Planning Coordinator

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling material availability to support operational and production requirements. The role includes managing work order transactions in SAP, coordinating material releases with the warehouse, monitoring inventory levels, and collaborating with procurement and operations teams to ensure timely material availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels and data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

·       Plan and monitor material requirements based on production plans, work orders, and project schedules.

·       Create and manage purchase requisitions and material reservations in SAP.

·       Issue and release work orders (WO) in SAP according to operational requirements.

·       Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure timely material picking and release.

·       Track inventory levels and ensure stock availability to prevent shortages.

·       Follow up on material deliveries with procurement and suppliers.

·       Maintain accurate material master data and planning parameters in SAP.

·       Monitor slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.

·       Review material forecasts and align requirements with operational demand.

·       Coordinate with production, maintenance, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow.

·       Generate and analyze inventory and material planning reports.

·       Support cycle counts and inventory reconciliation activities.

·       Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and planning efficiency.

·       Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ERP data accuracy standards.
