Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Electromechanical Engineer specializing in construction projects to design, install, and maintain integrated electrical and mechanical systems in buildings and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure that electromechanical systems (HVAC, elevators, fire protection, plumbing, and electrical networks) are efficiently integrated, compliant with codes, and optimized for performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Planning:

Review and develop electromechanical system designs for construction projects (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, fire safety).

Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.

Perform load calculations, energy efficiency analysis, and BIM coordination (Revit, AutoCAD MEP).

2. Installation & Supervision:

Oversee the installation of electromechanical systems on-site to ensure compliance with building codes (IBC, NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA).

Conduct quality inspections and troubleshoot issues during construction.

Manage subcontractors and vendors for electromechanical equipment procurement.

3. Testing & Commissioning:

Perform system testing, balancing, and commissioning for HVAC, electrical panels, and automation systems.

Ensure proper functioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) and IoT-based controls.

Verify compliance with sustainability standards (LEED, WELL, Estidama).

4. Maintenance & Optimization:

Develop preventive maintenance plans for electromechanical systems post-construction.

Recommend upgrades for energy efficiency (e.g., smart HVAC controls, solar integration).

5. Documentation & Compliance:

Prepare as-built drawings, technical reports, and O&M manuals.

Ensure adherence to safety regulations (OSHA, local codes).
