Job Description
Main Duties:
- Bring their knowledge and talent into the classroom where they can introduce children to art in its many forms and traditions.
- Work with children at all levels to encourage and assist them to express themselves through art.
- Encourage creativity and teaching techniques in a variety of mediums.
- Create expressions like anger, love, hurt or joy.
- Ensure the safety in handling the art materials.
- Plan a comprehensive curriculum, order and inventory supplies.
- Maintains a clean and safe children's work space
- Demonstrate their understanding of various arts, their own talent to create and the ability to teach skills to others.
- Must also fulfill all the responsibilities and duties of a classroom teacher and maintaining order in the classroom.
- Perform any other tasks requested from the manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of proven experience teaching art at the elementary or secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of various art forms, techniques, and art history.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated creativity and adaptability in lesson planning and instruction.
- Experience organizing art exhibitions or student showcases is a plus.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
