Medical Billing Specialist

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing both self-pay and insurance billing processes efficiently and accurately. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of medical billing procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and submit claims to insurance companies following billing guidelines and requirements.
• Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information.
• Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits.
• Investigate and appeal denied claims as necessary.
• Answer patient and insurance inquiries regarding claims and billing issues.
• Monitor and follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient and financial information.
• Stay up-to-date with insurance regulations, payer policies, and industry trends.
• Provide support and training to staff regarding billing and coding issues.
