Job Description
- Identify patients’ care requirements, focus on their needs and act on them
- Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support
- Resolve or report on patients’ needs or problems
- Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine diagnostic checks (monitor pulse, blood pressure and temperature, provide drugs and injections etc)
- Monitor and record patient’s condition and document provided care services
- Treat medical emergencies
- Administer workloads
- Follow care regulations and standards
- Work within and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team
Job Requirements
Receives a full report on the patients' shift from the previous shift nurse.
Performs daily patient check-ins and notes the following:
1. Patient hygiene
2. Location of the infusion set and date of administration
3. Infusions, recording their contents, and recording the time the infusion was administered and the time it was completed
4. Distributes work among the nursing team based on the patients' needs and the capabilities of the team present.
5. Conducts check-ins with consultants, physicians, and the Director of Nursing Services.
6. Follows up with patients before and after surgeries and completes the required paperwork and labs.
7. Monitors the work of nurses according to their assigned tasks and responsibilities.
