ICU Head Nurse

• Receiving a full handover report from the nurse of the previous shift
• Patient rounds and observing the following:
• Patient hygiene
• Cannula placement and its type (peripheral – central CVP – arterial)
•Distributing work among the nursing team based on patient needs and the capabilities of the available team members
•Following up with patients before and after surgery and completing the required paperwork and lab tests
•Following up on the nurses’ performance according to the tasks and responsibilities assigned to them
•Review the patients' medical file in terms of review medical recommendations, review the treatment.
• Make rounds with consultants, physicians and the director of nursing
