Job Description
- Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, ensuring optimal stock levels for various items, and managing storage areas.
- Placing orders for new stock, managing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely delivery of supplies.
- Monitoring stock levels, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and implementing stock rotation procedures to minimize waste and expiry.
- Working with various departments (e.g., pharmacy, nursing, etc.) to understand their needs and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained.
- Generating reports on stock levels, identifying trends, and providing insights to management.
- Adhering to hospital policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations regarding inventory management.
- Conducting regular cycle counts and participating in full stock takes.
- Conduct cyclical counts for inventory purposes
- Eliminate slow-moving and redundant stock using constant communication with doctors, nursing staff, pharmacy, and other stock controllers in the group
- Co-ordinate expiry dates checks regularly throughout the hospital
- Measure and evaluate stock activity levels for re-ordering purposes
- Engage regularly with Unit Managers and/or Billing Auditors to identify any gaps in stock movement, determine and follow up on the action plan to close off these gaps
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
- 2-3 years of experience in hospitals is a MUST.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
