Senior Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 Consultant - Finance and Project Accounting

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 Consultant with specialized experience in Finance and Project Accounting modules. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Dynamics AX/365's capabilities and a proven track record of implementing, upgrading, and optimizing these systems to meet complex business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, configuration, and testing phases for Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 Finance, Project Accounting, Trade and Logistics modules.
• Manage the upgrade process from AX 2012 to Dynamics 365 FO, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal business disruption.
• Apply advanced analysis skills to define solutions, develop detailed design specifications, and oversee the delivery of tested applications.
• Engage in all project phases, from analyzing business requirements to configuring the Dynamics AX/365 solution to align with business goals.
• Collaborate with business process owners to gather comprehensive requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of business processes and alignment with business objectives.
• Provide expert knowledge of Dynamics AX/365 Finance, Project Accounting, and Trade and Logistics modules, evaluating business processes against standard AX/365 functionalities.
• Utilize the Microsoft Sure Step methodology effectively, understanding key activities and deliverables.
• Document business requirements, define solution actions, and outline expected outcomes.
•  Configure and prepare customization specs for the Dynamics AX/365 solution, achieving business requirements.
• Lead functional design document development, driving the development process for necessary business process changes or module adjustments.
• Guide businesses in test case preparation, ensuring comprehensive application coverage and testing.
• Validate uploaded data according to Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 guidelines, performing data integrity and consistency checks.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in designing, configuring, and testing Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 Finance, Project Accounting, Trade and Logistics processes.
• Solid experience in upgrading from AX 2012 to Dynamics 365 FO.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to define effective solutions and develop detailed design specifications.
• Demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Sure Step methodology.
• In-depth knowledge of Dynamics AX/365 Finance, Project Accounting, and Trade and Logistics modules.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across various business streams.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
