Job Description
- Develop, write, and update comprehensive maintenance procedures for I&C systems and equipment.
- Ensure procedures comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Collaborate with maintenance engineers to ensure procedures are practical and effective.
- Develop and update the Emergency Shutdown (ESD) register, ensuring all critical ESD systems are accurately documented.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of the ESD register to ensure compliance and integrity.
- Implement changes and updates to the ESD register based on new installations, modifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) to ensure they function correctly and reliably through procedures.
- Develop procedures to ensure regular testing and validation of SIS are carried out in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to SIS, including safety integrity levels (SIL) assessments, functional safety plans, and validation reports.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, preferably in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar heavy industrial sectors.
- Proven experience in writing and developing maintenance procedures.
- Experience in managing ESD systems and SIS.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and field instruments.
- Familiarity with ESD systems, SIS, and related safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, IEC 61511).
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Functional Safety Professional (CFSP) or Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE).
