Job Description
The ideal contract engineer will oversees projects, conducts reviews and studies the legalities of the contract between the client and the engineer to Ensure that all terms of the contract are tended fairly
- Acting as the key contact point with the Subcontractors, Clients, Partners from initial discussions to project delivery.
- Discussing, reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions.
- Identifying risks plans
- Ensuring identification, documentation and submission of claims & variations.
- Reviews contract variation orders, estimate budgets, and review contractors and consultants interim payments.
- Drafting contractual letters to get them approved , send them to Client, Subcontractors, Government bodies etc.
- Making sure the project meets agreed technical standards
- Managing the final invoicing process
- Follow up on subcontractors’ adherence with Subcontract Provisions and making the necessary adjustments as applicable
- Create, update and maintain all contract administration logs and issue contracts reports.
- Provide recommendations for improving the contract administration and contract formation processes.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor of Engineering
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is a must.
• CLAC Certificate and Experience is a must.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Applications, Auto-CAD, and Primavera.
• Years of Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience.
