- We are looking for a passionate and experienced Information Security Analyst to join our team.
- This person will always be looking for ways to better secure networks against ever-increasing threats.
- An Information Security Analyst’s responsibilities include monitoring networks for potential threats, installing software that protects from online vulnerabilities, documenting breaches and reporting issues so they can be adequately handled.
Responsibilities
- Perform penetration testing
- Analyse IT requirements and provide objective advice on the use of IT security requirements
- Gather feedback from end-users to continue improving systems
- Monitor computer networks for security issues using different tools
- Investigate incidents / analyse new ones to investigate suspicious activity and implement more effective security processes.
- Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
- Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
- Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
- Stay current on IT security trends and news.
- Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
- Perform penetration testing.
- Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management.
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
- Stay up to date on information technology trends and security standards.
- Analyse IT requirements and provide objective advice on the use of IT security requirements
- Gather feedback from end users to continue to improve systems
- Design, analyse and implement efficient IT security systems
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Position Requirements
- Four-year university degree or college diploma required, preferably in the field of computer science or other related academic fields.
- 10 years of relevant work/management experience.
Knowledge & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in information security
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experienced with penetration testing and techniques
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities
- Understand patch management
- Knowledge of firewalls, antivirus and IDPS concepts
- Experienced in installing security software and documenting security issues_
- Knowledge and understanding of ITIL and ISO270001

- Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
