Job Description

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company objectives.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, producing financial reports and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Ensure accurate and timely tax filings and compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements within the accounting function.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Proven track record of managing accounting teams and overseeing complex financial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
